Craft Activity
Make a Shoebox Piggy Bank!
Materials: empty shoebox or tissue box, materials to decorate the box (markers, paper, pom-poms, magazine cut-outs, etc.)

Repurpose an empty shoebox or tissue box to make a piggy bank!
First, cut a long slit in the top of the box (if you’re using a shoebox). That’s where the money will be “deposited.”
Next, decorate the box! Cover it with paper. Draw on it. Glue different objects to it. The possibilities are endless.
Your child can keep their bills and coins in their piggy bank. This fun activity will help reinforce the importance of saving your money! Ask your child to think about what they’re saving toward.
