It’ll be a few years before your child can vote for president, but they can start practicing now!
Help your child think of something to vote on. It could be what to have for a snack or what book to read. Let them pick the choices you’ll be voting on. For example, should you have veggie sticks or an apple? Then have an election! Let everyone in your household vote. If you need more voters, you can call friends or grandparents and let them vote too! Then count how many votes each option gets. Whichever gets the most votes, wins!

A tu niño o niña le faltan unos años para poder votar por el presidente, ¡pero puede comenzar a practicar desde ahora!
Ayuda a tu niño a pensar por qué pueden votar. Podría ser para escoger la merienda o el libro que van a leer. Permítele escoger las opciones por las que votarán. Por ejemplo, ¿deberían merendar palitos de vegetales o una manzana? Entonces, ¡celebren las elecciones! Todos en la casa pueden votar. Si necesitan más votantes, pueden llamar a algún amigo o a los abuelos para que también voten. Entonces, cuenten los votos que recibió cada opción. La que reciba más votos, ¡gana!
