Writing Activity

My Favorite Tradition

Materials: family photos, paper, pencil, markers or crayons

In this activity, your child will reflect on the family traditions that are most special to them.

Talk to your child about things your family does together. You can even go through family photos together to jog their memory.

  • How does your family celebrate holidays?

  • Is there a unique way you celebrate birthdays?

  • Do you have a family meal you always eat together?

Have your child write about the tradition that means the most to them. Then have them draw a picture to go with it.
