Craft Activity

Egg Carton Chick

Materials: egg carton, yellow paint, orange construction paper, glue, scissors, black marker

Turn an egg carton into an adorable baby chick with this super-simple activity.

To make the body, have your child cut two egg holders from the carton. Have them glue the two pieces together to make an egg shape and trim any excess carton. Then have them paint it yellow.

To make the beak, have your child cut a small diamond shape from the construction paper and fold it in half.

Once the body is dry, they can glue on the beak and add eyes with a black marker.

When your child is done, encourage them to give the chick a name. You can also have them write a story about it.
