STEM Activity
Build a Mouse House
Materials: small scraps from around your home (e.g., scraps of paper, cardboard, string, fabric, wood chips, etc.)

Your child will put on their engineering hat for this fun hands-on activity!
Tell your child that mice use materials they find around them to make their nests. Ask what they think a mouse in your home might use to make a nest. Would a mouse use something light like paper or heavy like a brick? Would it use big things or small things? Why? What size would the nest be? Should it be soft or hard, warm or cool?
Then challenge your child to make a pretend mouse nest using small scraps from around your house. Provide the materials listed above, but if they have other suggestions, include those too!
